CMME: The Global Flame Ignited in Brazil!
It all began in 2003, in the vibrant missionary field of Canoas, with the start of a crusade involving 400 people. Alongside veteran CMM Pastor Guilherme Bastos, who served as Secretary of World Missions, they helped to leverage the network of pastors from Rio Grande do Sul. At that time, a movement was born that would redefine the evangelical reach in Brazil: the CMME – World Convention of Evangelical Ministers in Brazil.
It all started after the crusade; we had a prophetic meeting in Alvorada, and it was strategic. During a missionary event, Bishop Benjamin Strauus, from Switzerland, formalized the offer of the CMME, founded by Reverend Thomas Hezmalhalch, who was sent with the flame of Azusa Street and its visionary Pastor William J. Seymour, to Africa to found the church at the behest of Pastor Seymour. Later, he founded the CMME after the separation from his successor, the AFM, in 1930. He later passed away in 1934 in the United States, having fulfilled his prophetic mission. In Rio Grande do Sul, the agreement was sealed at night, in a rented auditorium, in a historic moment that included the presence of Pastor Heigor Chuttes of the Brasa Baptist Church, who closed the event with a flourish, and all doors opened to Brazil.
An Alliance of Global Impact
From that moment on, the first governing cell of CMME Brazil was established, linking directly to the United States, under the vision of Reverend Daniel Drumond, based in Louisiana – USA.
23 Years of Unwavering Leadership:
Since its founding in 2003, the visionary leadership has consolidated 23 years of lifetime presidency in CMME Brazil, marking an era of stability and exponential growth.
The New Chapter: Ambassador and General President
The year 2025 marks the ascension to a new level of global influence. It was in this year that the leader of CMME Brazil was elected Ambassador by the CMMA of the United States and elevated to the position of General and independent President. With international power and the unrestricted support of a vast council of partners (CMM, CMME, CMMA and councils in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa, where it has 289 accredited members), CMME Brazil has become a central pillar of the global evangelical mission.
The Headquarters of Expansion:
Currently, the leader resides in Belém, Pará, from where he manages the executive office that coordinates national and international CMME affairs, leading a growing network of affiliated churches in Brazil and abroad, and currently has 980 accredited members in Brazil.
CMME is more than a convention; it is a global Command Center for evangelization, with deep roots in Brazil and wings extended to the ends of the Earth.
